statsoc fund raiser: baller id

Friends/StatSocers,

Once again, StatSoc is asking for your help. BOD 09-10 have a fundraiser which is the StatSocer baller ID. Only P65.00 per piece (originally may promo sila na 2 for P110 pero since mababait naman tayo eh let's just stick with the regular price of P65). Tulong na rin natin to for StatSoc, and syempre collectible na rin hehe.

I've ordered 30pcs na makukuha ko today. Just thought na nagiging excuse ng alumni na tumulong because of distance and effort magpunta ng UP. So eto, yung baller IDs na yung lalapit sa atin hehe.

For Ortigas people, please send me a message for your orders. Dito lang naman ako San Miguel Ave. so I can meet you up. Please relay na rin sa officemates and friends nyo. Loca's MANSION! woohoo

So the annual BeRKS' Christmas party pushed through sa newly renovated Locayon mansion. Actually this was a treat from the November, December, and January celebrants. Astig kasi sila sila (konti lang ako) din yung nagluto. From the white sauce pasta to the pasta prep. At ang fave kong refrigerator cake. Woohoo! Thanks Mommy Chummy for the Starbucks GC. hehe. Sobrang saya kahit na andaming wala. At syempre ang cute cute ni baby Reign kahit na mukhang nabales hehe. Sa susunod ulit. Kaso mukhang matatagalan pa since nagtreat na yung January. Hmm... Pwede namang umulit! hehe.

Today was the first day that I'll attend the Aguinaldo masses alone. Wala si ate. Nagcheck-in whehehe. Weird pero naghotel ang bagong mag-asawa. Yaman talaga!

So ayun, I'm all by myself kanina. Pero ayos lang. I'm determined to finish the simbang gabi.

So party na naman tonight. This time sa BeRKS Xmas party naman. Our annual Christmas get-together. I'm sure enjoy na naman to kasi mabibinyagan na namin ang bagong mansyon ni Loca. Again, details to follow once I get hold of the pics. hehe.

2008 UP stat alumni homecoming

Last December 6, all roads (for Stat alumni that is) lead to the UP Bahay ng Alumni for the UP School of Statistics Alumni Homecoming. And as usual, we were late. Thanks to our addiction to Timezone and the movie Four Christmases. Personally, I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't able to watch UP Pep. I was literally running from the parking space of the venue towards the front steps of the Bahay ng Alumni. But to no avail, we were late. Really late. AARRRGGGHH!

Nonetheless, I enjoyed the night, Seeing familiar faces, even faces I'd rather not see. Nyahaha. Seriously, it was nice seeing people from the HIGHER BATCHES haha!

I just have a few angst, other than not seeing my beloved PEP. First, well we didn't win any prize from the raffle. Sayang yung SAS license worth 100k! Pwede na ding ibenta yun haha! The food was stale (even the iced tea na lasang gulaman), hindi pa nirefill so hindi nakatikim ng pasta yung iba. Pero masarap yung leche flan! At yang pledge na yan! Grrr! hahaha. Hindi kami prepared. Di sana nakapagwithdraw kami ng mas malaki. *joke lang *

And syempre, ang sakit pa din ng baba ko Rosalia! Para akong in-uppercut. Yun nga lang ulo ang ginamit! Waaah!

Last Saturday also, we went to the wake of Peter's lolo in San Juan. Sab, Chummy, Miko, and myself. Afterwhich eh nagkayayaang magdinner sa Timog. Originally, gustong uminom ni Miko. Eh kaso mga kj kasama nya kaya nauwi lang sa dinner at dessert. At syempre, benta pa rin si Chummy, as usual. =)

Then dessert sa may Morato dun sa bagong arcade dun tapat lang ng Burgoo...

And totoo to. Walang kamalay-malay si Chummy na lumipat na kami ng table. Nagtatawanan na nga yung mga nasa ibang table kasi sya busy sa table na natutulog. Ganyan nga siguro pag pamilyado na! haha. Mishu chummyto!

27 dresses

I'm officially back to being a kaladkaring bata.

Nung nagyaya ako nung Wednesday morning akala ko walang pwede. Kaya diretso na akong Makati after office para maghanap ng lintek na sapatos na yan na wala nang kasya saking size! Bakit ba kasi kung kelan nagsesale eh dun nauubos ang size ko! Badtrip!

So yun nga. We watched 27 dresses at Shangri-La Cinema. LFS to since 9pm ang out ni Carsha from her MBA class sa LSGH. The movie was okay. If you've seen Got 2 Believe ni Claudine and Rico Yan, you'll say na 27 Dresses is a rip-off of that movie. Pero sobrang dami nga ng similarities. Pero nadala naman nila Katherine Heigl and James Marsden. The girl who played Katherine's sister is also the one in the movie Heartbreak Kid with Ben Stiller na pinanood din namin 2 weeks ago. Tumatak talaga sakin yung role nya dun na exhibitionist kaya pati dito sa movie na to eh inaantay ko yung ganung scenes hehe.

And si John Lloyd Cruz ay nakaupo lang sa likod namin with his non-showbiz GF. Ganito kasi. Nauna si Sab sa Shang since she's within the area and sya na bumili ng tickets. Then nasa likod nya sa pila si JLC. Knowing Sab na fanatic ni JLC, hindi na mapakali. Text agad. Then nauna daw pumasok sila JLC sa cinema. Kasi kami antay pa namin si Carsha na late! hehe. So ayun hindi nakapagpapicture ang president ng Jologs League na si Sab. Pero nung papasok na kami nakita nung guard yung ticket namin. K10-K12. Biglang hirit nya na si JLC daw eh L10-L11. Akalain mo yun! At syempre kinuha agad ni Sab yung K10. At ang nakakatawa pa eh behave sya pagkaupo. Ni ayaw kumain ng popcorn pano asa likod nya nga si JLC. Benta talaga. Hindi na nila tinapos yung movie. Para siguro hindi sila pagkaguluhan. Kaya si Sab, malungkot! Hahaha.

Before we entered the cinema pala andun din si Ethel Booba with Alex. Yep, sila ulit! Nyahaha. Andun din si Jen or 26K and PBB with Donnie Geisler. Mga so so lang naman sila so hindi na namin masyadong pinansin. Pero gusto ko magpapic kay Ethel! Hahaha. Sayang!

p.s. i love you

Starring 2-time Oscar winner Hillary Swank and 300 star Gerard Butler. At first I found the set-up odd. Imagine Swank playing romantic, far from her tough gal roles. But after seeing the movie, I finally realized how she got her two Oscars. She's so versatile, may it be as a tomboy, boxer, or even the sensitive girl in this movie. And did I mention that I'm a Lisa Kudrow fan? She's hilarious even when she's serious. And her pick-up lines: Are you married? Are you gay? Are you working? Really worth the laugh.

And I've watched this movie twice already! The first time was unplanned with my officemates. Then nung Saturday eh napilit ulit ng mga kaBeRKS ko. Gastos tuloy hehe. And please, theaters are made for movie-watching and not for socializing and eyeballs. Ang tatanda na sa sinehan pa nag-eyeball! Pucha bwisit na bwisit talaga ako. Magtanungan ba ng mga birthdays at kung ano nangyari sa student nya. There are more appropriate venues for those engagements. At talagang pinili pa nila ang Gateway! What a nightmare! At ang pinakabentang linya nila eh the one referring to Hillary Swank: "Bakla yan hindi yan babae. Tignan mo yung dede nataas lang ng bra! Bakla yan!" Haha. This really made me laugh. Kukunan ko sana ng picture for documentation kaso masyadong madilim. Sayang!

So what did we really do last Saturday???

• met at Trinoma 4 to purchase the kitchen showcase for Intiang & Topz (astig talaga ng electric grill na suggestion ko hehe)
• lunch at Red Ribbon
• delivered the showcase at Quintos St. near España
• kwentuhan at decide kung san manonood (until 5:00pm)
• picture taking sa LRT V. Mapa station
• tambay sa Coffee Bean habang nagkukwento si Char ng kanyang dilemma
• p.s. i love you @ Gateway
• bwisit dun sa 2 matandang nag eyeball sa loob ng sinehan
• dinner sa bagong resto ni Marvin sa Gateway

intiang & topz's wedding

Last January 8, the third set of loverBeRKS have said their I Do's at the UST church. Syempre papahuli ba naman kaming mga kaibigan nyo. Sabi nga ni Sab eh minsan lang sila ikakasal so dapat bigyan ng oras. Kaya kami, mga nagsipag-halfday at VL para lang makaattend. Saka sayang ang photo op. Check out our picture taken infront of the lifesize UST letters taken by a student from our rival school. Iba ka talaga Cla! That moment gustong-gusto kong sumigaw ng UP Fight! kaso baka bigla akong dumugin! Reception followed at the Jade Valley Restaurant in Timog and dessert at Starbucks Timog.

So to you, Intiang and Topz, always love each other and can't wait for our baby berkie/berkette.

It has been a tradition of the BeRKS to hold their annual Xmas party/dinner. Last year, I wasn't able to come since the dinner coincided with my sister's wedding. But this year, hey I'm free. So the venue, Oyster Boy Metrowalk. Daming food! After ng dinner etong si Carsha eh nagyayang uminom. Woah! Si Carsha?! Stress free na kasi after long-overdue resignation. Kaya inom lang ng inom. Yosi na rin. Nakakamiss yung ganitong bonding ng BeRKS. It's been 4 years already after we graduated and yet we're still intact. Syempre may mga nagmigrate at nag-aral na abroad pero buo pa rin ang BeRKS. Iba talaga kami. Kaya sikat eh! LOL

Akalain mo yun small world talaga! Asa Metrowalk din yung ibang blockmates ko and yung mga orgmates namin. Instant reunion.

Early Friday morning I received a text from Sab asking for a lunchout tutal sweldo naman. Kaya kahit na may baon ako hala sige pa rin. Ginawa ko na lang syang breakfast sayang eh! hehe. So ayun Megamall pa rin sa Lemon Grass. Anlaki ng servings. Sana nag extra rice na lang ako then nakishare sa pagkain nila. Pero sulit naman kasi malaki nga servings at masarap. Mucho delicioso! Muy bien! At ang pinakamasarap syempre yung libreng dessert courtesy of Brini. Cappuccino ice cream sa Fiorgelato. At syempre nakakuha ng extra scoop si sab nung sinabi namin na birthday nya! Aysus! Haha...
