p.s. i love you

Starring 2-time Oscar winner Hillary Swank and 300 star Gerard Butler. At first I found the set-up odd. Imagine Swank playing romantic, far from her tough gal roles. But after seeing the movie, I finally realized how she got her two Oscars. She's so versatile, may it be as a tomboy, boxer, or even the sensitive girl in this movie. And did I mention that I'm a Lisa Kudrow fan? She's hilarious even when she's serious. And her pick-up lines: Are you married? Are you gay? Are you working? Really worth the laugh.

And I've watched this movie twice already! The first time was unplanned with my officemates. Gastos tuloy hehe. And please, theaters are made for movie-watching and not for socializing and eyeballs. There are more appropriate venues for those engagements. At talagang pinili pa nila ang Gateway! What a nightmare! At ang pinakabentang linya nila eh the one referring to Hillary Swank: "Bakla yan hindi yan babae. Tignan mo yung dede nataas lang ng bra! Bakla yan!" Haha. This really made me laugh. Kukunan ko sana ng picture for documentation kaso masyadong madilim. Sayang!

So what did we really do last Saturday???
  • met at Trinoma 4 to purchase the kitchen showcase for Intiang & Topz (astig talaga ng electric grill na suggestion ko hehe)
  • lunch at Red Ribbon
  • delivered the showcase at Quintos St. near EspaƱa
  • p.s. i love you @ Gateway

better than Hav's

Last year, I've stumbled upon a Myspace account of a Havaianas collector. I think he's got around 13 pairs already. But I can't remember his URL anymore so I'm not updated on how many pairs he has added to his collection. So what's my point? At first I was surprised that a person can spend so much in flipflops. I mean, I'm a slipper guy too but the look of the flops is kinda in-your-house and not for the malls. But then again, Hav's has hit Manila by storm and almost everyone got at least one pair in their closet. So what else to do but to jump on the bandwagon. I got my very first pair which turned out to be my ONLY pair. Dunno but the feel of it was not my liking. And the designs , I didn't really dig. Then I found the Nike flops. Being a Nike addict myself, I really got excited. I instantly bought the blue and orange flops. Now, I've been waiting for them to release new colors. Just this Saturday, I bought the Lacoste inspired flops. Hirap lang bagayan kasi green hehe.

alvin & the chipmunks

Was never a fan of Alvin nor Simon, not even the cute Theodore. But when I saw the trailer and heard their version of Funky Town, I told myself I'm gonna watch this movie. Alone and all, I will watch this movie! And yeah, I watched it by myself at SM Centerpoint! Woohoo, the last time I did this was way back in college. It's not that bad after all. Anyways, back to the movie. It was fun, can't help but laugh. It was worth the effort. And I bet a better soundtrack.
